Reflection_5
Reflection_5 is a collaboration with Composer Georgina Brett. The piece is a combination of field recordings and the treated voice of the composer. The animation is created by Allan Parker from stills.
The composer lives in the shadow of Grenfell tower and I think this must have unconsciously found its way found its way into the animation, something that didn’t occur to me until some time after it was finished. It now seems more like an elegy, embelished by the purity of the composers voice. The figures in the painting are both taken from paintings by Pisanello, Marghareta Gonzaga and The Vision of Saint Eustace.
