EDUCATION: Allan Forrester Parker received a BA Hons in Fine Art (1st) from The University of ReadingA Postgrad from Central St Martins in Graphics and Computers (Distinction)
Postgrad from Herts College of Art in Art and Psychology
Allan Parker’s work at the interface of art and design reflects on the uses of language and the role of technology. Design plays an important role in this and his wide range of collaborators has included choreographers, museums, trade unions, theatre productions, universities and galleries.
His work has been shown at many locations including The V&A and at the National Portrait Gallery in London and in other cities including Athens (National Ballet School), Belgrade (ICinema Balkan), Bangalore, Chennai Amythyst Gallery, Gera (Germany) and in Tokyo at Club Quatro, – a Nightclub in Shibuya.

Camberwell School of Art (UAL)
Allan has been a visiting lecturer at Camberwell School of Art (Photography) since 2023.
Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology/Vidyashilp University
He has also been a visiting lecturer at Srishti Institute of Art, Design, and Technology in Bangalore, India since 2004 where he has been employed on artist-led projects in Bangalore and in other locations in South India. More recently he has been invited on to the Faculty of Vidyashilp University in a similar capacity (2025 -)
University of Westminster
Allan Parker taught on the MA and BA Photography courses at the University of Westminster from 1994 – 2018 as module leader and tutor, alongside Davd Bate, Olivier Richon and Mitra Tabrizian. He wrote and designed practice modules which included theory and research references in addition to supporting major projects. He also wrote numerous references for students applying for further study or employment at institutions such as The Royal College of Art, Tate Modern, Cornell University, The Metropolitan Museum of Art etc
He established a publishing imprint, Pure Land Press in 2012, www.purelandpress.net

In 2019 he co-founded Footnote Centre for Image and Text with Mia Cuk in Belgrade, Serbia.
